2013 Snoman Congress

On November 8 & 9, 2013, Snoman held its 3rd Annual Snoman Congress. The Annual General Meeting took place on the Friday and a meet-and-greet followed after for all in attendance to get to know one another.
Saturday had many workshops for Club Members to choose from: Online Trail Signing Course Overview, Presidents Workshop, Solara Administrators, Snowmobile Safety Course, Online Snowmobile Safety Course, Rail Way Safety, and Drag Servicing & Maintenance.
At the Awards Banquet on the Saturday evening, the following awards were given out for the 2012-2013 Excellence Awards:

· Outstanding Organized Snowmobile Related Company...FXR Riders Inc (not in attendance)
· Outstanding Snowmobile Club... Southeast Sno-Riders Inc.

· Outstanding Groomer Operator...Clarence Kozie, Mooswa Lake Snow Riders

Clubs also were recognized for providing the Snoman office Trail Condition Reports on time each week for the riding season. The following Clubs received a certificate for their perfect reporting:

Steve Whittington from Flaman Group of Companies speaks to the audience
During the evening, guests were entertained by speaker Steve Whittington from Flaman Group of Companies. He spoke about his recent summit to Mount Everest back in May. With video and pictures of his harrowing climb, Steve gave an amazing speech on what all goes into climbing one of the seven summits of the world. Guests were also treated to caricatures of themselves by artist Tom Andrich.
