Making Tracks 2020

February 18, 2020

By Yvonne Rideout, Executive Director

On February 14, Snoman was pleased to host the 4th Annual Making Tracks ride along with the Brokenhead Trail Blazers Power Toboggan Club Inc. This year we had 4 MLAs riding the trails including Shannon Martin (McPhillips), Wayne Ewasko (Lac du Bonnet), Andrew Smith (Lagimodiere) and Greg Nesbitt (Riding Mountain). We were joined by Kyle McFadyen, Ken Pinsent and Cory Meyers from the RCMP, Travel Manitoba’s Tracy Dandeneau, and STARS Grant Therrien. Paul Reichart was with us as leader of the group, joined by Alan Unrah. From Snoman, we had our vice president Wayne Vandersteen, along with myself. Enjoying the trails from the sponsor side were Jamin Rudy and Kurtis Enns from S.A.R. Sport and Recreation in Steinbach, as well as Cal Kendall and Mitch Manaigre of FXR. The group departed South Beach Casino and rode to the club house for a BBQ hot dog lunch. It was a scenic ride on winding trails through poplar bush, cedar swamp trail and pine bush.

The Making Tracks ride is Snoman’s opportunity to engage new and novice riders, to showcase our trail system and the great winter recreational activity of snowmobiling. Snoman attempts to engage some new riders each year. Fun was had by everyone as evidenced by the smiling faces in the photos. A big thank you goes out to our sponsors S.A.R. Sport and Recreation, FXR, and Enns Brothers. In addition, I would like to thank Brokenhead Trail Blazers for hosting the ride and providing the tasty BBQ lunch.
